Ensuring Your Pet's Oral Health During February's Dental Awareness Month with non-anesthesia dental cleanings

February is Pet Dental Awareness Month, and we want to take a moment to highlight an

important part of your pet’s overall health that is often overlooked: dental care.

By age three, most dogs and cats show signs of dental disease. When left untreated, plaque and tartar buildup can lead to chronic pain, infection, tooth loss, and even systemic health concerns affecting the heart, liver, and kidneys. Preventive dental care plays a critical role in keeping pets comfortable and healthy long-term.

Professional Dental Care Without Anesthesia

As part of our commitment to your pet’s well-being, we partner with V.I.C. Pet Dental Spa, a team that specializes exclusively in non-anesthesia pet dental cleanings.

For appropriate pets, these cleanings:

  • Remove plaque and tartar before dental disease progresses

  • Improve gum health and reduce bad breath

  • Avoid the risks and recovery associated with anesthesia

  • Provide a more affordable option for routine dental maintenance

Why We Trust This Partner

Schedule a cleaning at Bay Paws

If it has been more than six months since your pet’s last dental cleaning—or if you have

noticed bad breath, visible tartar, or red gums—now is the right time to schedule.

Schedule your pet’s non-anesthesia dental cleaning at the location near you:

To ensure pet safety and quality of care, the number of dental cleanings performed at our

location each month is limited. February is one of the highest-demand periods of the year

due to Pet Dental Awareness Month, and appointment availability is already filling.

Once February capacity is reached, remaining appointments will move into March and/or

beyond.

Bay Paws proudly serves the Tampa Bay community with four convenient locations. Welcoming dogs, cats, and pocket pets. We offer professional grooming, expansive outdoor and air-conditioned indoor daycare play areas, overnight boarding with plush accommodations and 24/7 camera access for pet parents.
